Behind outinthevillage
Hey, I’m Kyle — the person behind OutInTheVillage.
After living in London for 13 years, I recently made the move to Manchester and quickly fell in love with the energy, friendliness, and community spirit of the Gay Village. But in my first few weeks here, I found it surprisingly tricky to figure out what was actually going on — especially beyond the club nights. That sparked the idea to create this platform.
OutInTheVillage is here to help others — whether you’re new to town, visiting for the weekend, or a local looking for something different — find the full spectrum of events happening in the Village. From cabaret and club nights to socials, fitness mixers and community get-togethers, there's so much happening right on our doorstep.
My goal is to shine a light on the events, the venues, and especially the people who make this community what it is — the drag artists, DJs, organisers, and everyday faces you see walking Canal Street.
